Proanthocyanidins and Eye Disorders:
Some eye disorders are caused by lack of microcirculation to the eyes. Proanthocyanidins help improve circulation primarily by strengthening the capillary walls.
Grapes and Cranberries, for example, both have high levels of proanthocyanidins. When you purchase a cranberry extract or grape seed extract make sure that it says it is standardized on proanthocyanidins.
Another Benefit: Proanthocyanidins and Bacteria
There are many different proanthocyanidins and some of them are responsible for bacteria anti-adhesion and some aren't. We have been researching this for many years and have created a product called CranXact® which contains the necessary levels of the proanthocyanidins that are responsible for keeping bacteria from adhering to tissue, especially E-coli (Urinary Tract), H-pylori (Stomach) or Plaque.
Here is how it works:

Receptor sites on bacteria pili bind to the bladder wall. Bacteria can then adhere, colonize and multiply. |
The active ingredients in CranXact bind to the E-coli pili helping to prevent bacteria from adhering to the bladder. Bacteria can then be safely flushed from the body during urination. |
